As our Clinical Nurse Consultant, you’ll be the Clinical Lead for the new Head to Health service, working with and supporting your colleagues on the team which include mental health professionals and lived experience peer workers. You’ll also:

  • be supported by our Head to Health Service Manager.
  • have access to first class professional supervision, professional development, and support.
  • have the opportunity to be innovative, helping us to find new ways to meet mental health service gaps in the region.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensures the delivery of Head to Health services in accordance with the service model.
  • Provides clinical leadership and consultancy for mental health professionals including Allied Health staff and peer workers.
  • Provides advanced patient/client care as well as consultancy and guidance.
  • Provides a range of clinical interventions for consumers with complex needs impacted by mental ill health
  • Provides Care Coordination, develops recovery plans and discharge plans in consultation with consumers/carers.

The skills you’ll need (selection criteria):

  • Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated significant and recent nursing experience (within the specialty), with knowledge and skill in the assessment and nursing management of mental health presentations and co-occurring issues.
  • Experience with providing clinical supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
  • Experience working with at-risk or marginalised population groups.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in applying appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group.

You’ll also need:

  • National Police Clearance, no more than three months old.
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence.
