What should I use for a company logo and cover image photo?

The best files to use for your logo are either JPEG or PNG images. A good quality medium resolution file is best so that your logo is clear and crisp.

The cover image could be a panoramic shot of the front of your business, or a photo that represents what you do – these images are the long narrow ones that appear at the top of the page. They are not required, but add a certain flair to your page. These images need to be a minimum of 1400 px wide. The ideal size is 1400 x 600px.

What should I enter into the Company Description field?

You should give a good overview of what your company does, including your company purpose, vision, mission and values – you want to attract people who share your values and make a good fit to your existing team.

What should I include in my Job Description?

Aside from describing your business and the duties of the position, we recommend you answer the question, “What’s in it for me?”  All jobseekers want to know the answer to this question, and job advertisements that answer this question attract more applicants.  You can include benefits like:  small family business that values employees, flexibility, competitive remuneration, diverse duties, training and professional development opportunities, easy access to Perth, performance based incentives and accommodation (if you provide this).

How do I resize a photo to enter onto the Wheatbelt Jobs website?

Once you have edited your photo, you can then save it to your computer and upload it to your Company Profile or Job Post.

What are the recommended image sizes for this website?

The recommended size for cover images is 1400px x 600px.

For your logos, I would make them at least 500px wide/high and if possible, a PNG with a transparent background so that it can be placed on anything.

Should I add a contact name and email address to my Company Description field?

That is entirely up to you of course, however being open and transparent and giving potential Jobseekers as much information as possible can only work in your favour.

What do I do if my location isn't listed?

If you find that your location isn’t listed, in the first instance, select the closest option and then email the WBN team at r.thomas@wheatbeltbusinessnetwork.com.au with the name of the missing location and we will add it to the list and let you know once it is there. You can then login and edit your job listing and select the new location.

Where do I get my social media links for my job listing?

The easiest way to obtain your social network links is to open up a new browser tab and navigate to your Facebook, Instagram and then Linked In pages and then once on your page, copy the address in the address bar – you can click on it to highlight it (the entire address should be highlighted blue), you can right click inside the highlighted area and select copy from the pop up window. Then go back to the tab with the Wheatbelt Jobs web site in it and right click in the respective Social Media boxes and select Paste. This will insert the copied link in the box.

How do I change my email address?

You will need to login to the web site if you are not already logged in – this will be with the email address and password you set when you first registered with the site. If there is a blue login button in the top right corner, you will need to click on it and login. If there is a circle with your logo and company name, then you are already logged in. When logged in, hold your mouse over your business name and logo in the top right corner of the web site and from the drop down menu select Company Profile. Scroll down the page until you come to the section that says Change Email. You will need to enter your existing email and supply your new email. You can also change any other details on this page. Make sure you click on the Save New Email button.
