We require a self motivated person to join our team. Our busy workshop requires someone who can think on their feet, work independently and also a part of our team. The job requires someone who has skills in industrial painting, media blasting, mechanically minded and general knowledge suited to our industry.
Skills and Qualifications
A strong work ethic and a great attitude is essential, you must be highly organised and have excellent customer service skills. We require someone who prioritises completing all tasks to a high standard – taking pride in your work is a must.
Ideally we are seeking someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience in Industrial painting but on the job training can be provided to the right person – a trade certificate not required but would be considered highly advantageous.
Previous experience in media blasting an advantage, but on the job training can be provided.
Previous experience and knowledge gained from working within a metal fabrication business.
Full, unrestricted current drivers licence.
Office, computer skills and good communication skills are essential.
The role is broad and varied with a wide range of jobs that may include but are not limited to:
Admin duties: Stock ordering, answering the phone, serving customers, sourcing parts/materials.
Yard and workshop work: cutting steel/sheet to length, loading and unloading of materials, use of guillotine and press brake for small jobs, this varies greatly.
Blasting and Painting: responsible for all facets of this role, including maintaining equipment to ensure optimum use, blasting and painting of repaired jobs from our workshop as well newly manufactured equipment- there is the opportunity and possibility to grow this role to a full time position on it’s own.
This role is currently being offered as a contract, with the possibility of it becoming permanent for the right applicant.
