Level 5 | Full Time – Fixed Term opportunity for 12 months with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Location – Perth Metropolitan Area , Geraldton, Merredin, or Northam

What will your typical day look like?

We are looking for a Project Officer with experience in human resources, risk management, interpretation and implementation of procurement and Human Resources (HR) policy, and document management systems to support the Farming Systems Innovation Directorate.

Liaising with a team working across the grain belt of Western Australia you will:

  • co-ordinate directorate recruitment, liaising between human resources and projects to define position requirements
  • develop effective on-boarding processes for new staff for the Farming Systems Innovation Directorate, including commencement documentation and induction
  • work with directorate managers, provide high level input into the interpretation of new HR and Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy to develop directorate specific risk management strategies, including induction processes
  • support the delivery of research projects, creating frameworks for collection of evaluation data, in conjunction with directorate managers
  • co-ordinate the development of record keeping and document management frameworks for the Directorate.

You will conduct research and analysis of complex information and data related to projects, independently undertaking less complex projects. You may also assist more complex projects within the Directorate.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in human resources, procurement, document management systems and project planning, delivery and evaluation.

Proven ability to deliver agreed outcomes within specified timeframes is essential. You will have great communication skills to be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and ability to think on your feet to deliver in changing environments.
