Job Overview

Applications are invited from interested persons to apply for the position of Leading Hand, Parks and Gardens, at the Shire of Wyalkatchem.

This position is expected to commence on the 1st February 2022.

We are seeking applicants who will be reliable, able to work autonomously, capable of working unsupervised as well as proactively and positively work within a small team who have an interest in parks and gardens.

Objectives of the position:
•Actively engaged Parks & Garden Team members delivering timely and efficient services;
•Maintenance of the town’s community spaces including, but not limited to town street scapes, parks, gardens, sporting grounds and drainage for the overall benefit of Wyalkatchem.
•Provide effective leadership and direction to the Parks & Garden Team.
•Assist the Manager of Works as directed in performing administrative tasks including supplier and price research, provision of cost estimates and quotes, and reporting of activities.

Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2010, level 4.
