The Shire of Chittering is seeking a Communications Officer who has advanced level of communication and problem solving skills and has a minimum of one years’ experience in communication campaigns, initiatives, projects and social media.
Some of your core functions include communicating with and informing diverse stakeholders in an effective manner; and development of communication materials that are informative, clearly communicated and consistent and completed in a timely manner. This is achieved by preparing communication contact and materials such as social media, website and intranet content, speeches, media statements, brochures, presentations, publications.
The successful candidate will ideally have exceptional organisational skills, time management and interpersonal skills, all while modelling a can-do attitude; is a collaborative team player who can engage and work with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required and contributes to a positive workforce environment.
The Shire is committed to the long-term happiness of our team. This is a permanent position offered as a Level 7 with a cash salary of $60,186.88 (pro-rata) per annum, in addition to superannuation of up to 15% as per Council Policy. The position is for a 42 hour fortnight, with flexible hours and offering a hybrid work model (work from home and Shire Administration Office). Additional hours or working outside of office hours may be required on occasion and during emergency situations.
